ACS Relay For Life!
Becky and I were invited by the Wilcox Hospital Infusion team to attend our first American Cancer Society Relay For Life this past Saturday at Kapa’a Beach Park! What a BLESSING to join so many other survivors, caregivers and supporters in celebrating the gift and miracle of LIFE!! 🎉🎉🎉
On the one hand, it seemed awfully strange to accept that I belonged at this event since I really don’t even think of myself as a cancer patient (it’s definitely not my identity). On the other hand, I am honored to embrace and be numbered among such courageous, grateful, humble and loving men, women and children!!
“Mahalo Nui Loa” to all of you who have prayed and continue to pray for my healing and for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide Becky and me as we use the platform of cancer to bring our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, maximum glory, praise and honor as we share the gospel, encourage the saints and advance the Kingdom of God every moment of every precious day He gives us!! 🎉🎉🎉
P. S.- My most recent blood panel and PSA, which measure the status of my cancer, all came back in the normal range!! I still have aggressive “terminal” cancer but, for now, the various medications and non-medical protocols I’m utilizing are working and, at worst, extending my life and, at best, healing my body from cancer!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
