Longing for the Appearing of Christ

Are you longing for the appearing of Jesus Christ?

"I think about the words of Paul. When I think of Paul, one of the last things I think about is a person that's up and down in their walk with God. Like they're crashing and burning, and then they get kind of restored with God, crash and burn again, walking in some sin for a while.

Okay , come back to God. I don't think of that with Paul, that doesn't come to mind when I think of Paul. What comes to mind is his words in second Timothy where he says " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" and then he says "because of that, there is now in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award me on that day".

Here's the good news, and not only to Paul, but he goes on to say to all who have longed for his appearing. This is what happens in the heart of a born-again spirit-filled Christian is their longing for the appearing of Christ. They love the Lord, they can't. stop talking about, and they can't stop thinking about him. They want to give themselves to him as completely as possible.

They're not interested in burning and crashing and burning and crashing and going up and down in their walk with God, and because we have examples in the Bible including Paul, they realize "hey, this is entirely possible for the spirit filled born-again Christian."
