We need to avoid loving our political party more than we love the souls of men and women. We need to avoid loving winning more than being true to the word of God. We need to avoid loving a spirited political debate more than being salt and light and encouragement, even to those who are oppositional to our political beliefs. We need to avoid loving our patriotism in our country more than the city of God.
Read MoreThe real issue is that not, is God on our side; is God on our side with politics or God on our side with our team, or whatever it might be. The real question is are we on the Lord's side, that's a question that really needs to be answered
Read MoreObey the Great Commission and get on board with what I call The Epic life. Share the Gospel. Be a part of making disciples. Why? Because we're running out of time, and we have a message here, and we have a prophecy, and we have an understanding of things that we won't even be part of, so that we can inform and warn and exhort people that have not yet received Christ.
Read MoreThere's a commitment to the gospel. This is another thing that marks out the New Testament believer. Paul is talking a lot about the Gospel, he's going to talk a lot about the Gospel in this particular book of Colossians, but he says a few things about this Gospel. He says, "𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘎𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥", so this Gospel is Universal in its power. Paul says "I͟'͟m͟ ͟n͟o͟t͟ ͟a͟s͟h͟a͟m͟e͟d͟ ͟o͟f͟ ͟t͟h͟e͟ ͟G͟o͟s͟p͟e͟l͟.͟ 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘦𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘦
Read MoreWe share the Gospel because the Bible instructs to do this. We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life. When we share the Gospel, we are giving others the opportunity to hear about Jesus and decide for themselves whether or not they want to follow Him, and how they want to spend eternity. We can't make someone choose; we just create the environment for them to grow if they choose. We are also obeying God's commandment to Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples.
Read MoreWe have a hope right now that God will never leave us or forsake us in this ambassadorship, this mission he's called us to be a part of.
He's not joking he's not kidding; he's not goofing around when he says he's called you to a work and every one of us need to be involved in that work and that work requires hope. That hope is not just for the by-and-by, it's for today.
Read MoreThe Bible describes us: we're like aliens and strangers walking through this earth. This isn't our home and because this isn't our home, and understand that, and that it's not going to last, we can look forward, we're still working here, we're still serving here, but we're looking forward to the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ and that sets my heart free.
Read MoreThose of you that had been in ministry for a long time, you know that this is basically what ministry is. There's a lot of joy, there's a lot of pleasure, there's a lot of satisfaction, there's no life that's more fulfilling, in my estimation, than serving the Lord.
It is a process of beating your breast in grief and you still got to show up. Prokope.
