Attitudes to Avoid In Politics | A Christian Perspective
We need to avoid loving our political party more than we love the souls of men and women. We need to avoid loving winning more than being true to the word of God. We need to avoid loving a spirited political debate more than being salt and light and encouragement, even to those who are oppositional to our political beliefs. We need to avoid loving our patriotism in our country more than the city of God. We need to avoid fostering an attitude of us versus them more than building bridges for potentially life-changing friendship.
The world needs to see uncompromised believers. They need to see men and women that are just completely standing on the rock of Jesus Christ, on the truth of scripture, and have their eyes on the city of God, the eternal kingdom with an understanding of what the plot is. We're here to bring in as many as we can.
