Pray Always: How and When?
Enjoy this short clip from a full sermon Pastor Bob Hallman delivered 07/24/2016, titled "The Evidence of True Christianity"
In first Thessalonians, Paul tells us that we're to pray continually. How do we do that? Well, the simplest way I can describe continual prayer is not the folding of the hands and the closing of the eyes, and kneeling, and having a prayer list. That's a part of Prayer, that's a valuable part of prayer, but praying continually is just having an ongoing dialogue with God because he's our friend and because he's our Savior, and because we have a life in front of us every day.
Today, you've got this life. It's just a gift to us. We've got 24 hours in a day and we know, of course, we're awake for only a part of that, but for the part that we're awake God has a plan for us, and an agenda and according to Ephesians, he's actually got things marked out for us to do that he's created in advance. Circumstances, opportunities, relationships, conversations, things that we don't even know are going happen yet but they're going to happen this afternoon. Because God has got this plan, and because we're his servants, we come along in prayer, and we say God I want to be a part of your plan don't let me miss anything. I'm your servant show me what to do. I want to be in touch with you, I want to hear your voice, I want to know what to say when those moments come so that I can be a part of this eternal plan.
When you live with that kind of a life of expectancy and partnership with God, then you want to be praying all the time and you want to be lifting up things to God all the time and you want to be praying for other people all the time and it becomes natural a natural part of your walk with God.

We have a variety of tools and resources on our website and doing our best to add more often. Be sure to check out our Evangelism and Discipleship resources below.
God invites us to the greatest Mission of all time—to make disciples! Discipleship can be casually defined as “Friendship with a Purpose”. It involves coming alongside another believer and walking with him/her and purposefully helping them grow. Jesus’ last words before ascending to Heaven was “to go and make disciples”
