God's Expression of Love for Mankind | Colossians Series
Every heresy, every false religion will never be able to produce the kind of character traits that Paul is writing about in this text.
It's just a beautiful thing that God's done for us, to give us the truth of his word and somehow to give us a heart to receive it. And by virtue of that, enter into this life that's miraculous, and that's divine because God's power is working in us and through us.
So, if you want to grow in faith, that's another quality of an authentic Christian, they're growing because they are in the Word of God. Paul also says that there were reports of the Christians love for all the Saints.
Faith, by the way, and obedience, and belief in God, always, always, results in love. It always results in love why? Because you can imagine how many commands are there in the scripture about loving people, loving God with all of our heart.
It's all over the place. The whole Bible from cover to cover is an expression of God's love for mankind, and his plan for mankind, and our partnership in that work of loving mankind and bringing as many people as we can into the kingdom of God. It's a demonstration of God's everlasting generous love.

God invites us to the greatest Mission of all time—to make disciples! Discipleship can be casually defined as “Friendship with a Purpose”. It involves coming alongside another believer and walking with him/her and purposefully helping them grow. Jesus’ last words before ascending to Heaven was “to go and make disciples”
