Do You Want to Live? Promises to the Church
Enjoy this short clip from a full sermon pastor Bob delivered titled "Introduction to Colossians" -
God told us, "Hey I've got a methodology for your salvation. Are you interested, are you willing, do you want to live? We said "yeah, we want to live" and then he says "okay, then I've got a I've got an ark I've already built for you. Noah had to build his, we don't have to build ours.
Jesus Christ is our Ark, and he says "come to me all you who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Come I will save you; I will deliver you. Come and have a relationship with me, walk in me, be in me, and let me be in you. So, we walked in the door and God shut the door, and God sealed us by the promise of His Holy Spirit and God is going to protect us until his wrath passes. That's the promise for the church.
He says you are in Christ because you simply believe the Gospel message

God invites us to the greatest Mission of all time—to make disciples! Discipleship can be casually defined as “Friendship with a Purpose”. It involves coming alongside another believer and walking with him/her and purposefully helping them grow. Jesus’ last words before ascending to Heaven was “to go and make disciples”
