Do The Hupomone | (1 Thess 4:1-10)| Evidence of New Life
Enjoy this short clip from a full sermon pastor Bob Hallman delivered called " Evidence of New Life"
"Remember "hupomone!" "hupo means under, "mone" means to remain "hupomone" means to stay under the weight of the trials or the challenges of life without running, collapsing or giving up. You're waiting for God to lift it off in his due time.
Okay so do the "hupomone". You're bending your knees a little bit and you're under the weight of the challenge that God has allowed in your life. He may not have brought it, but he's allowed it, and you're not going to move, you're not going to do anything except hold on to God and you're going to sit under that until God lifts it so that His glory can be magnified now.
Here's what's really crazy you know the Bible says that we're to do this with joy. Don't drop your hands. I didn't, Simon doesn't say drop your hands.
Do you know how the Bible says we're to do this with joy? This is so cool okay, just go like this and what does it become? Praise and Worship!
Isn't that amazing so you can take this as a part of the Christian life, this ability to endure and persevere and just take it just a little farther and it turns into praise and worship and that is awesome what God can do!
